FAQ: Boatsetter Owner App Booking Inspection Forms

Q: How do I complete the pre and post booking inspection form in the owner’s app to start or end my trip?

A: Prior to your booking, you will be presented with a booking inspection form. You must either bring a printed copy of the form to your booking or use the digital version of the form available in the Boatsetter Owners app. To avoid $1,000 in liability on damages claims, it is mandatory to complete the pre-/post-booking inspection form and take accompanying photos.

There are two ways to complete the pre and post booking inspection form through the owner’s app:

Method 1: Through the Trips tab

  1. Open your Boatsetter owner app
  2. Make sure you’re on the Trips tab
  3. Click “Requests” to access the filters
  4. Filter for “Active Trips”
  5. Click the booking with the appropriate renter
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the itinerary
  7. Click “Check in”
  8. Follow all steps and have both parties sign
  9. Wait for the information to transmit
  10. When completed, you will get a screen stating the inspection is complete

Method 2: Through the Messages tab

  • Open your Boatsetter owner app
  • Go to the Messages tab
  • Click into messages with the appropriate renter
  • Click the 3 dots in the top right corner
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the itinerary
  • Click “Check in”
  • Follow all steps and have both parties sign
  • Wait for the information to transmit
  • When completed, you will get a screen stating the inspection is complete

Once the inspection forms are complete, you can view the signed documents by clicking the hyperlink directly on the itinerary.
